Payment Methods
Our approved Payment Methods are Visa, Mastercard and American Express debit and credit cards that are authorized to transact in the United States. We use Paypal for our credit card processing or you can log in to your Paypal account and pay with any form of payment you have saved to your PayPal Account.
About Payment Methods
PayPal allows you to make payments using a variety of methods including PayPal balance, bank account, PayPal branded debit and credit cards, PayPal Credit, debit card, and accepted credit cards, but Because your protection against undelivered or defective goods will vary with each method, you should review this page to understand how you can select a payment method and how protection differs depending on your payment method.
This page does not address unauthorized transactions, therefore for information on your protection against unauthorized transactions, please see the Error Resolution section of the PayPal User Agreement.
Preferred Payment Method
You can choose any of the payment methods in your PayPal account as your preferred payment method. You can select a preferred payment method in your account preferences on www.paypal.com but there may be times that your preferred payment method cannot be used, for example, if you select a credit card that has expired, or if you choose to pay with your PayPal balance but there are not enough funds at the time the transaction processes. In rare cases, you may need to use your balance prior to using your preferred payment method, but you will be shown that at the time of checkout. Also, the availability of certain payment methods may be limited based on that particular seller or the third party website you are using to complete the transaction.
Default Payment Method
If you have not selected a preferred payment method, and you do not specify one at the time of the transaction, then PayPal will fund your transaction in the following order:
- PayPal balance
- Bank account instant transfer
- PayPal Credit
- PayPal-branded debit card
- PayPal-branded credit card
- Debit card
- Credit card
- E-check
If you do not have one or more of the payment methods above linked to your PayPal account, the next payment method in the list will be used. For example, if you are making a purchase on a seller's site and do not have a preferred payment method selected, and you also do not have any money in your PayPal balance at the time the transaction is processed, then your bank account will be used to fund that purchase, and you will be charged accordingly.
Changing the Payment Method
You may change the Payment Method at the time you make a payment by clicking the 'More Options'/'Change' link on the Confirm Your Payment/Review Your Information page and then selecting a payment method on the "More Funding Options" page, and you may do this each time you make a payment or send money.
